Business Tycoon, ZIFA, and COSAFA President Phillip Chiyangwa have been invited to be a Patron of the first Black British Entertainment Awards taking place in London at Porchester Hall on 16 December 2017. Zimbabwe’s flamboyant businessman will also present the Best Lifestyle Personality Award to the winner on the night.
The launch of Black British Entertainment Awards took place in London last weekend with a star-studded nominee Reception where celebrities and world Olympic athletes attended including Miss Universe model Muna Juma, Olympic Gold Medalist Perri Shakes-Drayton, Olympic Champion Shara Proctor and Danny Grant of BBC’s Apprentice among many stars. The main awards ceremony taking place this month has become the most anticipated awards in the Black community in the UK.
Mr. Chiyangwa is honored to be invited to such prestigious Awards as a patron. Known for his free personality and lifestyle influence on social media, Mr. Chiyangwa first became a social media sensation in 2014 when he posted videos of himself online showing his millionaire wealth and enjoying himself. The videos instantly went viral, and Zimbabweans all over the world embraced the trend, posting their videos of what they dubbed, Zvirikufaya, (Life Is Good). Mr. Chiyangwa became known as the King of selfies.
Mr. Chiyangwa’s impact and influence on Zimbabwe’s social media cannot be denied, as his free-spirited selfie videos brought about the birth of Facebook socialites in the Zimbabwean community.
He is the current Zimbabwe Football Association President. Last year he was elected COSAFA President and began his journey on the international scene in the football world. Earlier this year he led a successful coup against CAF President Issa Hayatou.
Last month Mr. Chiyangwa attended the 2017 Best FIFA Football Awards in London where he mingled with the global football stars such as Barcelona Kingpin, Lionel Messi, and Brazilian Neymar.
Mr. Chiyangwa is looking forward to returning to London as the patron of Black British Entertainment Awards 2017 to present the much prestigious Best Lifestyle Personality Award.
